Accessibility Statement

We want this site to be usable by everyone who needs to evaluate us, including people using a screen reader, keyboard only, magnification, or reduced-motion settings. This page states what we are aiming at, what we have actually measured, and what to do when something blocks you.

The standard we work to

We build against WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We are stating our position honestly: this site has not been through an independent accessibility audit, and we do not claim full conformance. Everything under “Measured” below was checked across all 150 published pages in September 2026. Anything we have not measured is listed as not yet verified.

Measured on this site

  • A Skip to content link is present on every page (150 of 150), so the large navigation can be passed in one keystroke.
  • Every page declares its language and has a main landmark (150 of 150), so assistive technology can jump straight to the content.
  • Images: of 16,403 image tags across the site, 15,055 carry descriptive alternative text and 1,258 carry an empty alternative, which tells screen readers to skip them. The remaining 90 carry none — see the gaps below.
  • Motion respects your operating-system reduce motion setting. Scroll animations and moving backgrounds are switched off when you have asked for less motion; this is built into the site’s stylesheet and its animation layer.
  • Video: every video in the page markup (14 across the site) is muted and loops without sound.

Known gaps

  • Most pages have no top-level heading. 137 of 150 pages — including the home page — have no <h1>, so screen-reader users who navigate by heading get no page title to start from.
  • 90 image tags on 10 pages have no alternative text at all — a set of five small icons repeated on those ten pages, and five staff photos on the team page. Screen readers may read out a file name instead.
  • One photo on the team page carried another person’s name as its alternative text. A correction is prepared.
  • An empty alternative is right for a decorative image, but we have not reviewed all 1,258 to confirm that each one is decorative.
  • Third-party components — Google reCAPTCHA on our forms, and media served from external providers — are not fully under our control and may not meet AA.

Not yet verified

  • Keyboard operability has not been tested systematically, including the main navigation, the chat assistant and the interactive Desktop Mode. If anything traps focus or cannot be reached, we want to hear about it.
  • Colour contrast has not been measured across pages and components.
  • Reflow and zoom — whether every page works at 320 px width and 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling — has not been tested.
  • Documents such as PDFs have not been checked for accessibility tagging. Ask and we will send the content in an accessible form.
